This has been a pretty good week. I felt like we have lived in the car though. We had to drive to Aiken, South Carolina twice last week to help move a car around. We have to go again tomorrow, but this time to talk with some missionaries. Not looking forward to that! We also had MLC, which we had to drive to Macon. So, for three days in a row we probably spent a total of over 15 hours in the car, maybe even more. Probably more to be honest. MLC was pretty cool. We had some people from the mother ship (Salt Lake) come and train us. They did a good job. Afterwards was great because we got to hit up the Panda Express and have their Honey Walnut Shrimp. Its always a good day when you get to have that!
Bible study this last week was awesome as well. We talked about when Jesus asked his disciples to leave their boats and nets and follow him. We had a really solid discussion. We talked a lot about how the nets could be distractions and hold us back from following the Savior. We also compared that with the blessings to do come when we follow the Savior. We had a lot of investigators come as well.
This week we also did a lot of service. We spent 2 hours clearing thorn bushes out of a ladies yard. I got stabbed by them a million times. I got one stuck in my hand. The following day I was at district meeting and it hurt so bad. I couldn’t take it anymore and I cut it out with my knife. It felt so relieved after that. We also helped a recent convert and her mom clear a bunch of sticks out of their flower beds. The recent converts mom used to be so against the church but she has opened up a lot the last two months.
We had a really good lesson this week with one of our investigators. In fact, she came to our Bible study. So, she views religion as stories and she doesn’t really believe in God. She really likes everything that we teach her and she really likes how families in the church are so important. She didn’t think families like she saw in the church really existed anymore. Well, after talking and having a good discussion with her she asked if she could talk to two of our recent converts and one of our investigators about the church and their conversion. She has reached out to them and talking with them. As far as we know, it has been really good. She has come a along way though. One of our investigators getting baptized this month was just like this when they began to investigate the church. We are excited to see what happens. We are going to try to give her a church tour this week.
Anyway, that has been our week. I hope ya’ll have had a great week. Thank you for all the support.
This is Redcliffe Plantation. We went here for P-day today.
